About meBorn in Kenya, I lived as a child in Tanganyika & grew up in South Africa where I did my schooling, military service, three years at the Johannesburg College of Art followed by 3 years as a part time Layout/Storyboard lecturer at the same college. I also worked as Art Director in various Johannesburg Advertising Agencies before moving to Switzerland. Here I worked for an international advertising agency before becoming a freelance illustrator specialising in super realistic airbrush illustrations & renderings. With the arrival of computers the airbrush was packed away & I now specialise in TV & Layout illustrations, cartoons & painting.

My style of illustration is clear, loose & easy to understand. I have a lot of experience & understand what’s needed when briefed. My pics must simply sell the idea. Details come later. I'm not interested in high detail, realistic renderings. I am often asked for my opinion on a concept idea. My answer is simple; If I don’t understand the idea, neither will the public.
I work from home in Herrliberg (Zürich) or from my hut high up in the Swiss Alps (Graubünden)
